Aghios Gordios Holiday

Aghios Gordios is on the west coast of the island, near Corfu Town. It nestles at the foot of a dramatic range of coastal hills covered in tall, elegant pine trees. Its bay sweeps gently between two large headlands and boasts a sand and pebble beach. Swimming in its clear, warm waters will wash away any stresses and strains. The resort itself is founded in a rural community where traditional industries - such as fishing and farming - still play a huge part in everyday life. Aghios Gordios is a true gem with a true Greek atmosphere.

However, around the beach it can get quite busy and there are plenty of opportunities for amusement throughout the resort. These include watersports, walking in the stunning hills and even sky diving. The finer things in life are all on offer here too - the local food and a cold glass of 'retzina' - white wine flavoured with pine resin - will delight your tastebuds. The chefs of Aghios Gordios are renowned for using fresh, local produce and for inventive dishes. Don't worry about children being bored - aside from the sea-based fun - there is a water park nearby and plenty of excursions aimed at younger visitors.
