Hersonissos Holiday

Vibrant and cosmopolitan, Hersonissos clusters around an exceptionally pretty harbour. Inland lies the commercial heart of the town, throbbing with bars, shops and restaurants. Further inland lies Old Hersonissos quietly watching over its louder sibling below. You can come here for some tranquil respite from the beach and party life that this resort specialises in. The picturesque village of Koutouloufari is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with magnificent views of the sea and the port of Hersonissos. Koutouloufari is situated above Hersonissos and has preserved its traditional Greek character. There are some lovely shops and restaurants and many people from Hersonissos come to Koutouloufari for a night out.

Beaches

Hersonissos boasts three beaches, with excellent sandy stretches at nearby Stalis and Malia. Hersonissos is also widely recognised as having the best choice of watersports on the north coast.

Shopping

The shops around the harbour stay open well into the evening, offering everything from chic boutiques to local handicrafts such as pottery and crochet. The locally produced goods are reasonably priced and offer a great opportunity to buy something special to remember your holiday by.

Nightlife

If you come to Hersonissos, you'll have to admit it has a fantastic nightlife. It is an undisputedly lively town - perhaps the most cosmopolitan of the area's resorts. Framing its attractive harbour, you'll find music bars and tavernas; 'Happy Hour' here can go on until dawn.

Local Specialities

Stroll along the quayside before choosing from the numerous restaurants and tavernas offering a diverse range of cuisine. Discover Greek food and be sure to try some fresh fish accompanied by a Greek salad and washed down by some refreshing wine.
