Porec Holiday
Porec is a small fishing harbour lying just north of Rovinj on the Istrian Riviera. The town's origins date back to Roman times and today it's one of Croatia's most popular holiday resorts. The old town of Porec boasts characteristic houses and immaculate, ancient stone-paved streets which bustle with cafés, street painters and live entertainment. At the centre of the historic quarter is an early Christian cathedral which is adorned with glittering mosaics. Porec is also a haven for people who enjoy the outdoors and nature with sports centres offering boating, walking and cycling along the stunning coastline.
With clear, blue waters flanked by foothills swathed in veils of evergreen trees, vineyards, orchards and olive groves, Porec enjoys spectacular natural beauty. The town's principle treasure is undoubtedly the Basilica of Euphrasius, a designated World Heritage Site. It's home to an imposing bell tower and an elaborately decorated church which is often used as the venue for classical music concerts. Porec has a distinctive charm and warmth about it wherever you go - the locals are exceptionally welcoming and hospitable and the contrasting features of old and new form a harmonious whole.

Secluded bays with smooth rocks and crystal waters are the area's hallmark - many of which are accessed by man-made bathing platforms.
