Taormina Mare Holiday
The coastal area around Taormina Mare, is among the most beautiful and famous in the world. It is a bay made up of several picturesque beaches and rocky inlets which offer a good range of watersports and boat trips to nearby sea caves. The local mild climate allows visitors to attend the beaches almost all year round.
Beaches
Isola Bella Bay is Taormina Mare's main beach. It's made up of pebbles and has public and lido areas as well as a picturesque island in the middle. Beaches like Spisone, Mazzaro, Capo Sant'Andrea and Capo Taormina boast vast inlets and curves which model the coast and follow one another. Rock, gravel and sand are framed by Mediterranean vegetation and surrounded by an azure sea.
Shopping
There are plenty of expensive boutiques, shoe shops, jewelers, art and antique furniture dealers. There are also several pottery, lace and craft shops as well as souvenir bazaars. Taormina Mare also plays host to a small weekly market which is well worth a look in.
Nightlife
There are also several pub-style bars, an exclusive nightclub, indoor disco and a few open-air garden discos with piano bar restaurant. Taormina itself is reached by cable car every 15 minutes and takes about 8 minutes to reach.
