Costa Adeje Holiday
Costa Adeje is 3km further up the coast from Playa de las Americas and 30km south of Los Gigantes. It is a well-maintained, newly built resort with easy access to all surrounding areas. It has a quieter and more reserved atmosphere than other resorts in Tenerife and is also very good for watersports. You can easily get into Playa de las Americas by bus when you want to sample the local nightlife.
Beaches
The resort of Costa de Adeje is situated on the black volcanic sand beach of Playa de Fanabé and offers a good selection of watersports and nearby waterparks.
Shopping
There's a good selection of local shopping centres here, but if you want to shop 'til you drop, Playa de las Americas is just around the corner. If you're a real shopaholic, then why not head up to the island's capital city, Santa Cruz, for a more comprehensive shopping experience?
Nightlife
It's quieter than its bustling neighbour, Playa de las Americas, but it's close enough to the action if you feel like tripping the light fantastic. If the quiet life is more your scene, take a stroll along the promenade, secure a table with a beachfront view and sip a glass of wine as the sun goes down over the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Local Specialities
If your taste buds are missing home, they'll soon be soothed here as there's an excellent selection of restaurants serving hearty British fare. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, Tenerife cuisine is delicious and well worth a try. Why not sample 'abondigas' - spicy meatballs served in a tomato sauce?
