Skanes Holiday
Skanes is a modern beach resort close to the town of Monastir, where a fine beach of golden sand shelves gently from the row of hotels into a clear blue sea. Sports include tennis and minigolf with a golf course just 1km away. In the evening couples and families alike can enjoy the occasional Tunisian folklore show or disco at a hotel.
Beaches
Skanes has several miles of soft, golden sands streching from Monastir and beyond. Many hotels provide their own sections of the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, and watersports are easily available. The town of Monastir itself has a smaller local beach.
Shopping
Monastir is packed full of fascinating little shops and there are plenty of traditional souks to be found nearby. Typical souvenirs include rugs, pottery, local jewellery and cheap trinkets. Don't forget haggling is a way of life in Tunisia.

Entertainment in Tunisia is usually hotel-based but this shouldn't stop you from having a memorable night out.

Skanes has cafés, restaurants and fast food kiosks. Every taste and budget will be catered for here, but for a greater variety and a change of scene, head to picturesque Monastir.
