Sousse Holiday
The strategically sited old port of Sousse, 130km south of Tunis, has seen a modern resort grow around its historic heart: the walled medina, an 8th-century fortified monastery, and the 9th-century Great Mosque. Sousse is a bustling, colourful town with a strong Muslim tradition, which means you'll find just a few bars - but plenty of cafés, shops and stalls!
Beaches
Sousse's long, fine beach of pale sand shelves gently into the sea; watersports in high season include parascending and windsurfing.
Shopping
There are plenty of shops in the town selling most of the traditional souvenirs, leather, ceramics and carpets. Why not visit some of the local shops and experience the art of bartering?
Nightlife

Local Specialities
There are some quality restaurants and simple cafes in Sousse, particularly those serving French-style cuisine. Various international dishes and local specialities are also on offer to satisfy your taste buds.
