Vassilikos Holiday
If you want to discover the hidden corners of Zakynthos, start with the beautiful Vassilikos Peninsula. On the east coast, 10km from Zakynthos Town, the resort of Vassilikos is much quieter than nearby Argassi, and is suited to those who want a relaxing, away-from-it-all holiday. This is great cycling territory, although car hire is readily available for the less energetic.
Beaches
The region's best sands are found around Vassilikos, including Banana and Porto Zorro beaches. For watersports, try nearby St. Nicholas, which has a great range of activities.
Shopping
There are plenty of minimarkets for all your required supplies.
Nightlife
In this quiet resort, entertainment is generally limited to what is offered by the hotels. For nightlife, Argassi has night clubs and bars open until the early hours.
Local Specialities
A few tavernas and a couple of bars are dotted along the coastal road through Vassilikos and in the village of St Nicholas.
